Summer Daze 2019

Summer Daze Festival returned for its second edition last week, with five days of music and partying taking place between the 11th and 17th of August, on the beautiful island of Malta. Hosted by Creamfields and Radio 1 Dance, the festivities saw some of the biggest dance and pop acts in the world take to the stage. The lineup clearly whet the appetite of fans, with approximately 40,000 people passing through the gates to the main event over two days - that’s around 10% of the Maltese population enjoying live music!

Services provided:

  • A white-label ‘Summer Daze’ branded box office.
  • Ticket sales to the main festival and ancillary parties.
  • Ticket sales via the Ticket Arena web-store and app.
  • Access control via our Entry Genius app.
  • On-site support staff.
  • Account management support.

Event Genius and Ticket Arena provided pre-event marketing for the main festival, which was free to the public, and several ancillary parties in the days before and after. Fans could apply for free tickets to the main event via a white-label ‘Summer Daze’ branded box office or through the Ticket Arena website or app. Tickets to the paid-for parties were also made available through these facilities.

Tickets were issued to fans to ensure their safety during the event and prevent over-attendance, with each ticket being scanned by our Entry Genius app on arrival. We also provided on-site support staff to provide access control training to festival staff and to troubleshoot any issues throughout the duration of the events.

Parties galore and a festival to remember:

Uno club and Gringos kicked off the festivities on the 11th August, by bringing the legendary DJ duo the Martinez Brothers back to the decks for the first time after a three month break.

Wednesday and Thursday saw the return of the free-to-the-public main event, held in the stunning T’Qali National Park. The Wednesday lineup provided beats in abundance with Loco Dice, Green Velvet and Paul Kalkbrenner performing to huge crowds.

Thursday provided a more diverse set of acts, with former X-factor winner turned megastar James Arthur serenading the pop lovers with sing-along ballads, and Tyga dropping his impressive hip-hop catalogue including the smash hit ‘Taste’ ft. Offset. The night was brought to an end by world-famous EDM and dance-pop DJ David Guetta, silhouetted against an impressive video backdrop.

More parties followed on Friday with former Italy international footballer Christian Vieri - DJ name Bobo - setting the vibe with a DJ set at a sunset pool party at OMNIA by MedAsia. Elsewhere at Uno, Vida Loca took to the decks in front of a packed-out venue before Roger Sanchez closed out the festivities on Saturday.
