As Q1 ends, the intense focus on ticket buying bots and the secondary ticketing market feels like it has reached a fever pitch and significant change is most certainly just around the corner. - The House of Lords have approved more legislation governing the ticket resale market and empowered the commons to criminalise the use of bots.
- The newest (and perhaps unwanted) development in the campaign against ticket touting is taking place in Alabama. The US state is considering creating a statutory right for consumers to be able to resale tickets.
- Stuart Galbraith, CEO of Kilimanjaro Live has taken some pot-shots at the amount of money Google’s makes from secondary ticketing providers via pay-per-click advertising.
